(Seoul=NSP News Agency) jeonghyun go Journalist = A recent research shows that Gyeongju World Culture Expo in 2019 has led and activated local tourism economy and made over 50 billion won where economic impact has been brought directly and indirectly throughout Gyeongju.

Gyeongju World Culture Expo revealed on the 29th its final report of assessment for the last 45 days from Oct. 11 to Nov. 24.

According to the report, the total number of visitors is 311,168 and with 12.37 billion won, it turns out to be tremendously impactful for a very short time with numerous visitors having come.

The number of visitors is 56,000 from Gyeongju and 254,000 from other regions, and this is 4.5 times more than 56,000 from Gyeongju. With the average expense per a person being 60,039 won, the Expo has played a key role in activating local economy.
