(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Hanah Choi Journalist = CJ Freshway is going to finish Chinese incorporation in first half of this year and to proceed full-scale business from second half of this year.
Since it is the initial period of incorporation, CJ Freshway plans to concentrate on stabilizing business. Business of CJ Freshway in China is broadly categorized into 2 kinds.
JV1, a company in charge of sourcing and supplying global food materials, has provided Yong-hui mart in China mainly with agricultural and marine products including fruit such as banana, apple, dragon fruit, grape, blue berry, and the like from the beginning of this year. Its monthly sale with reference of this month is about 2.5 billion won.
JV2, a distribution company for preprocessing based food materials, is building Food Preprocessing Centher(FPC) in Beijing area. It plans to complete the construction within the first half of this year and after June to proceed full-scale business.
FPC will present raw materials such as vegetable, fruit, and livestock product gone through course of cutting, processing, and packing according to individual feature to B2C customers of Young-hui mart and B2B companies such as hotel, restaurant, and café.

Seunghwa Lee, director of CJ Freshway strategy planning department, related, “it is expected that business will get on the normal track from the second half of this year” and “JV1 will diversify global sourcing items and increase the amount of purchasing per item that it strengthens its position as a global food material distribution company.”
