This prize is awarded to the 16 most successful construction engineering projects of the 155 projects selected through weekly state - level competition throughout the United States.
The US SYSKA HENNESSY Group, which designed Lotte World Tower 's machinery and equipment, was awarded the top prize Diamond with the Tower' s eco - friendly facility and intelligent building system last December in the 2018 New York Engineering Excellence Awards. Lotte World Tower produces 18% of its total energy consumption through geothermal heating and cooling system, high thermal insulation glass, solar collectors, wind power generation, and solar power generation.
