MLIT, Issued Air Transport Business License to Air Seoul

END7, Read 0(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Hanah Choi Journalist = MLIT(the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) (Minister; Kang, Ho-in), issued an air transport business license to Air Seoul (CEO; Ryu, Kwang-hee), a low-budget carrier fully-financed by Asiana Airlines(020560).
MLIT announced that "Recent 5 years, there has been steady growth in air traffic with an annual average of 7.8 percent. And Air Seoul's business plan met related standards." and that "the safety of Air Seoul including compliance with their plans will be carefully examined by means of AOC(Air Operator Certificate)."
Air Seoul will be able to start its maiden flight after passing ACC. Asiana Airlines are planning to operate dual system such as Asiana for mid,long-distance flight and Air Seoul and Air Busan for medium and short-distance flight, and they will be connected to air network with code share, etc.

Air Seoul will be transferrd 5 airplanes from Asiana Airline in stages and provide flight on 16 routes in free area that Asiana Airlines have been running at a deficit.
