Samsung Electronics Co., 2015's Company Profit- Up Year on Year

(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Hanah Choi Journalist = Samsung electronics co. (Samsung) announced that in the fourth quarter of 2015, it resulted 53.32 trillion KRW as a revenue and 6.14 trillion KRW as an operating profit.
The revenue rose 1.64 trillion KRW from the previous quarter which was 51.68 trillion KRW. The operating profit fell 1.25 trillion KRW compare to earlier quarter that was 7.39 trillion KRW.
Year of year, Samsung reported revenue of 200.65 trillion KRW and operating profit of 26.41 trillion KRW. Revenue fell about 3% from 2014 which was 206.21 trillion KRW, whereas operating profit rose 5.5% compare to previous year that was 25.3 trillion KRW. Samsung electronics expected that for this year it would be challenging to maintain earnings of the the previous year due to slowing IT demand.

It plans to maintain earning by active response to seasonal demand for set product business and expansion of strategic product in components business, and to concentrate on reinforcing mid- to long-term business competitiveness.
