(Seoul=NSP News Agency) jonghyuk Kim Journalist = CJ Cheiljedang took over the Haide, a Chinese company which is producing functional amino acid. CJ paid 36 billion won in Korean currency for 100% of interests.
By means of this acquisition, CJ Cheiljedang gained a foothold to advance to 1 trillion won scale market of functional amino acid, which is used be a material of health foods and cosmetics. So they are able to leap to be a global comprehensive bio company.
CJ Cheiljedang established business portfolio that is going to produce more than 40 kinds of amino acid and amino acid derivatives (similar amino acid that part of chemical structure was changed).
CJ Cheiljedang plans that by means of investing in core technology, securing facilities and professional human resources, expands business to pharmaceutical amino acid, like rehydrate solution and amino acid for infants and toddlers.
