E-mart made provisional contract for taking over ‘Jeju Soju’ … entered soju market

(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Hanah Choi Journalist = E-mart signed a provisional contract for purchasing stock with 'Jeju Soju', which is based on Jeju Island.
Concerned E-mart manager explained that "as a result of negotiation, a provisional contract was made with Jeju soju for taking over it on 9th." And "Final contract will be complete after further negotiations and actual inspection."
Jeju soju is a company that was founded in 2011 with capital of 2.5 billion won and launched 'Gopdeullak (20.1 degree)', 'Sandorong (18 degree)' and began selling them. The sale of last year was 140 million won and net loss during the term was 3.2 billion won. E-mart is going to expand its business relation with Jeju island and the size of purchasing goods by growing Jeju soju as competitive second industry model and at the same time to promote it as 6th industry model and to make it Hallyu product which represent Jeju by combining Hallyu contents with product and service.

Also E-mart plans to proceed grand scale export through Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) with large distribution channel in Japan and the United States as well as China, Vietnam, and Mongol into which E-mart entered already.
