(Seoul=NSP News Agency) dILFUZA Sultanova Journalist = Mirae Asset Daewoo, the integrated securities firm with merger between Mirae Asset Daewoo and Mirae Asset Securities, has been officially launched on Dec. 29.
Merged Mirae Asset Daewoo became the largest securities company in Korea with 6.6 trillion won in equity capital, assets 62.5 trillion won and customer assets 220 trillion won. This scale is the level corresponding to the top five in the financial sector, including banks beyond the domestic financial investment industry.
Mirae Asset Daewoo plans to expand additional equity capital even after the merger and compete with global IBs in earnest.
Assistant Chairman of establishment and Head of Steering Group, Kim Dae-hwan said “Leading competitive company Mirae Asset Daewoo was launched by integrating during the past year”, “On this basis, we will continue to work in Asia, representing a global investment bank that can compete with the world's leading investment banks”.
New shares of Mirae Asset Daewoo will be issued to Mirae Asset Securities shareholders on January 19, 2017, in accordance with the merger ratio.
The listing is on January 20th.
