South Korea launches 3,000-ton mid-class submarine 'Dosan Ahn Chang-ho'

(Seoul=NSP News Agency) YEON SUN HAN Journalist = The launching ceremony for South Korea's first 3,000-ton submarine 'Dosan Ahn Chang-ho (KSS-Ⅲ)’ took place at the Okpo Shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding(042660).
The Dosan Ahn Chang-ho submarine is the Navy's first mid-class submarine, the the first-of-class KSS-III designed and built independently in Korea.
South Korea has become one of the 10 countries around the world to design and lauch a submarine independently.
The Dosan Ahn Changho will undergo more tests, be transferred to the Navy in 2020 ~2021.
