LG Electronics, Promoting Indonesia as a Base Production Site for TVs in Asia

LG Electronics will significantly expand its TV production capacity at the Cibitung plant in Indonesia as early as the end of this year to foster it as a production base for TVs in Asia.
The Chibitung Factory, completed in 1995, has been producing TVs, monitors, and signage. It will also increase production capacity by 50 percent by expanding automated facilities for all processes, such as assembly, quality inspection, and packaging. Production plants located in Chibitung(Indonesia) in Asia, Mlawa(Poland) in Europe, and Reynosa/Mexicali(Mexico) in North America will provide TV exclusively to each market.
