Samsung Electronics, Pyeongtaek Line 2 Operation... Expected to Invest More Than 30 Trillion Won In Total

This Line will produce the industry’s first advanced 3rd generation 10-nano class(1z) LPDDR5 mobile DRAM applied with EUV(Extreme Ultraviolet) process.
Samsung Electronics’ Pyeongtaek Line 2 is the world’s largest semiconductor production line with a total floor area of 128,900㎡(the size of 16 soccer fields). This Pyeongtaek Line 2 plans to invest 180 trillion won and employ 40,000 people, which was announced in August 2018. Accordingly, large-scale investments of more than 30 trillion won will be executed in Pyeongtaek Line 2 following Pyeongtaek Line 1.
