(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = Kakao Mobility has attracted an investment of $200 million from Carlyle Group, a global investor.

Based on this investment attraction, Kakao Mobility plans to expand its new business and invest in technology aggressively.

Starting with taxis, Kakao Mobility has evolved Kakao T into the nation’s largest mobility as a service(MaaS) platform for 28 million people, connecting closely to transportation from short distances to metropolitan transportation such as bicycles, shuttles, intercity buses, and trains.

In addition, it has secured a market advantage in the field of autonomous driving as well as about 20 million owners of their own cars who use navigation, parking, and proxy driving.

This investment attraction from Carlyle Group was carried out in three and a half years after TPG investment in 2017, and was evaluated for the corporate value of 3.4 trillion won(based on post-money).
