(서울=NSP통신) hYUNJIN KIM Journali = (Seoul=NSP News Agency) Reporter Bok-Hyun Lee = Korean Air won authorization for voluntary report M&A with Asiana Airlines from the Malaysian Aviation Commission.
The commission said the M&A is to revive the “failing firm” suffering from financial issues and doesn’t breach any Malaysian competition law.
Since Korean Air has filed the M&A report for nine mandatory reporting countries on January 14 this year, Turkish and Taiwanese competition authorities have approved the review. The company received a termination notice of M&A review from the Thai competition authority and an opinion saying the closure of the M&A review procedure since it is not subjected to report by the Philippines competition commission, where the reporting is not mandatory.
