(서울=NSP통신) hYUNJIN KIM Journali = SK Innovation signed a supply agreement with a Korean cathode materials company, EcoproBM, on about 10 trillion won worth of cathode materials from 2024 to 2026 in SK building in Jongro Seoul last Wednesday.

The two companies agreed to expand cooperation in various areas, including joint investment in materials projects related to cathode materials, building more plants home and abroad, and recycling battery waste in the future.

With one of its core materials partners, EcoproBM, the company plans to lead the high-performance battery cathode materials market, a place expecting soaring demand.

The leading high-nickel batteries manufacturer provides batteries using NCM9 cathode materials to Ford’s representative truck model, the F-150 Lightning that will launch next year.

SK Innovation developed the first NCM9 battery in 2019 with EcoproBM, based on the unparalleled safe technology, having zero EV fire using its batteries.
