(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = LIG Nex1 had an opening ceremony for a system integration test wing dedicated to unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) at LIG Nex1 Gumi-house on November 23, 2023 with Gumi officials.
LIG Nex1 invested 4.1 billion won for the 1097 ㎡ facility, breaking the ground in October 2022.
The facility had a 1,000-ton water tank for testing/inspecting USVs and their parts, a crane for assembling/inspecting four USVs simultaneously, and a water treatment machine room. The company said it would use the preliminary test facility to perform subsystem unit inspection and system integration sync mock test for enhanced overall USV performance and better operation performance.
