Originally announcing the increase in cathode active material production for secondary batteries in June 2023, Cosmo Advanced Materials has been actively pursuing its investment goal of securing 100,000 tons of facilities by the end of 2024. However, to meet the urgent supply demands of its customers, the company finds itself in a situation where the expansion schedule needs to be accelerated by six months compared to the initial plan.
Recognizing this as a strategic opportunity to bolster its primary business in the secondary battery cathode active material sector, the company is pooling all available resources into a concerted effort to expedite the expansion schedule. With the facility capacity set to increase fivefold, there is a parallel anticipation of rapid growth in both revenue and operating profit, signaling a significant transformation for the company over the next few years.
