(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = LG CNS and Daehan Steel joined hands to establish a joint venture, ‘Aimos.’

LG CNS and Daehan Steel held a ceremony to commemorate the launch of the joint venture at Daehan Steel headquarters in Busan on the 30th.

Aimos launches ‘AI steel scrap judgment solution’ business in earnest. Steel scrap is a compound word of iron and scrap and refers to scrap metal and iron scraps.

Aimos’ AI scrap judgment solution classifies scrap according to the Korea Industrial Standards (KS), including high quality cast iron, bulky and heavy weight, and light weight represented by household scrap.

The AI steel scrap judgment solution is a cloud-based service in the form of SaaS(Software as a Service) where you pay for what you use.

LG CNS and Daehan Steel worked closely to commercialize the AI steel scrap judgment solution and applied it to Daehan Steel sites.

LG CNS trained AI on the information accumulated by Daehan Steel and developed an AI model to determine the grade of steel scrap. Both companies plan to improve the completeness of the AI steel scrap judgment solution.

Aimos plans to further enhance its AI steel scrap judgment solution in cooperation with Spnature, Korea’s largest steel scrap distributor.
