(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Samsung Electronics has completed the acquisition of FläktGroup, a German air conditioning equipment company.

Through this acquisition, Samsung Electronics plans to expand its business from individual air conditioning to central air conditioning and industrial solutions markets and foster its global air conditioning business as a future growth engine.

Samsung Electronics plans to strengthen the development of air conditioning solutions for AI data centers and smart buildings based on Fläkt's production and sales bases and global network, and maximize synergy by combining the technological capabilities of both companies.

In particular, the company plans to present a next-generation solution that enhances energy efficiency and control performance by combining the AI-based building integrated control platform(SmartThings Pro, b.IoT) with Fläkt's high-precision air conditioning control technology.

Samsung Electronics plans to maintain the Fläkt brand and its management team after the acquisition, continuing its expertise and brand identity through an independent operating system.
