(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = LG Electronics has set a goal of doubling its revenue by 2030, focusing on Brazil, India, and Saudi Arabia — three key markets in the Global South.

The company said the combined revenue from the three countries is projected to reach 6.2 trillion won in 2025, up more than 20% from 2023, exceeding twice the company’s overall growth rate.

In Brazil, LG plans to invest more than $200 million in Paraná state to build a new production facility, with operations targeted to begin within this year. The site will span 767,000㎡, with total floor space of 70,000㎡.

By combining the new plant with its existing base in Manaus, LG aims to increase its annual local production capacity for premium home appliances and components in Brazil to 7.2 million units.

In India, LG is expanding its lineup of “essential appliances,” including washing machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators, led by its India-specific “Essential Series” tailored to local preferences and purchasing power.

The products feature localized functions such as support for low water pressure, cleaning optimized for hard water, cooling performance maintained even at temperatures of 55°C, and enlarged freshness compartments designed to accommodate vegetarian dietary habits.

In Saudi Arabia, LG has maintained a partnership with Shaker since 1995 and is pursuing region-specific R&D, including HVAC technologies, while seeking to broaden opportunities to win government-led projects.

Last year, the company signed agreements to supply cooling solutions for a “net-zero AI data center” in a smart city development project, as well as AI home and smart solutions for a high-end residential complex.
