(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Hyundai Engineering has successfully entered a new market by securing a large-scale chemical plant project in Kazakhstan, Central Asia.

Hyundai Engineering received a Letter of Award(LOA) for the ‘Karachaganak Gas Processing Plant’ project from JSC NC QazaqGaz, the state-owned gas company of Kazakhstan.

This project is a large-scale project to construct a gas processing facility and ancillary facilities capable of processing 5 billion cubic meters of raw gas annually within the Karachaganak Processing Complex, located about 1,260 km west of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Hyundai Engineering will perform design and procurement services for this project, and plans to proceed with stable and efficient project execution by having the local subsidiary of SICIM, an EPC(Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company headquartered in Italy, participate as a construction consortium partner.
