(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Kakao Pay Securities begins fractional trading of domestic listed stocks including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and EcoPro.

According to Kakao Pay Securities on the 10th, users can trade domestically listed stocks in units as small as 0.0001 shares. This means that even stocks with high prices per share can now be invested in with small amounts.

Fractional trading is available in the Comprehensive Account after agreeing to the terms. Purchases can be made in monetary or quantity units, while sales can be requested in quantity units only for stocks purchased in fractional units.

Fractional orders are aggregated and processed in batches at designated times, and outside of order hours, they are accepted as reserved orders. Once you hold one or more fractional shares, they are automatically converted into full shares and can be traded just like regular stocks.

Trading will start with three stocks, including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and EcoPro, and will be expanded in stages. Fractional trading will also be applied to the existing ‘Stock Accumulation’ and ‘Reward Orders’. Purchase fees for ‘Stock Accumulation’ will be waived for both full-share and fractional orders until the end of this year.
