(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = LG Electronics fosters AR(Augmented Reality) software business for vehicles with the innovative technology and know-how accumulated over the years.

LG Electronics has decided to push ahead with the business of supplying ‘AR software solutions’ to automakers.

Until recently, LG Electronics has supplied infotainment components such as Head Up Display (HUD), Cluster, and Center Information Display (CID) in a package that combines AR software. LG Electronics’ AR software solution is connected in real time with various sensors such as ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) camera, GPS, and navigation.

This solution projects various information on the windshield of the vehicle to which the head-up display is applied, or shows it on infotainment components such as the instrument panel and central information display. The driver can drive while recognizing the surrounding situation more effectively.

LG Electronics also included ▲SDK(Software Development Kit), ▲User Interface Composer(UI creation tool to help develop various graphics), ▲Simulation tool in AR software solution. Automobile manufacturers can use and update software easily and conveniently.
