(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = GO SHOP, a Malaysia TV shopping channel owned by GS Home Shopping Inc., Korea, announced on October 19 that it has launched an around-the-clock Chinese-language shopping channel.
The new service is to serve Chinese-Malaysians, who account for about a quarter of its citizens. Chinese-Malaysians are regarded as influential consumers, as they largely occupy high-paying white-collar positions in the country.
GO SHOP has received favorable reactions in Malaysia, selling over half a million products through the six months of its broadcasting. Among others, Korean brands take up considerably high sales figures with best-selling items, such as Steam Q Iron, Chefline Diamond Fry Pan, and Oriental Smooth Pact.
