Compared to last year, it is a record of a month earlier. CJ CGV, which made its first step into Shanghai in 2006, has since made inroads into the US, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and Turkey in order.


Last October, it entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement with ADG Group, a real estate development company, to enter the Russian market in Oct, 2017. As a result, the company plans to expand its global advancement to seven overseas countries.


CJ CGV is taking the lead in aggressive global advancement based on differentiated strategies by countries and regions, such as the introduction of premium theater concepts, advanced theater services, and various social contribution activities.

Through this, it has become a global top five theater with 488 theaters and 3,601 screens in 7 countries, including 152 theaters and 1,117 screens in Korea.
