(서울=NSP통신) soon ki Lee Journali = During 2021, the rate of increase in the amount of mobile banking loan application services for domestic banks reached 56.9%, a significant increase. The proportion of inquiry service use was 94.6% for Internet banking including mobile banking and 3.9% for counters, showing an overwhelming difference.
According to ‘Status of Internet Banking Service Usage by Domestic Banks in 2021 announced by the Bank of Korea on the 2nd, the number of registered internet banking(including mobile banking)customers of domestic banks at the end of 2021 was 190.86 million, up 9.4% from the end of the previous year. Among them, the number of registered mobile banking customers increased by 13.5% to 153.37 million.
Last year, the number and amount of money transfer and loan application services through internet banking(including mobile banking, daily average) of domestic banks stood at 17.32 million and 70.6 trillion won, up 18% and 19.6% from the previous year, respectively.
In particular, the rate of increase in the number and amount of loan application service use recorded 47.6% and 56.9%, respectively, which has expanded significantly.
Mobile banking accounted for 82.9% and 18.2% of total internet banking usage in terms of number and amount, respectively.
Looking at the proportion of business processing by financial service delivery channel of banks, it was internet banking 74.7%, CD/ATM 16%, counter 5.8%, and telebanking 3.5%. Among them, internet banking took the overwhelming share of inquiry service with 94.6%, followed by counter 3.9%, CD/ATM 0.8%, and telebanking 0.7%.
