(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Krafton Inc. (259960) disclosed that a lawsuit seeking contract enforcement and damages related to U.S. game developer Unknown Worlds has been dismissed following a settlement between the parties.

The plaintiff in the case was Fortis Advisors, LLC, the representative of the former shareholders of Unknown Worlds. The lawsuit had been filed with the Delaware Court of Chancery in the United States.

According to Krafton, the case was dismissed as a result of an agreement reached between the parties.

The notice of dismissal was filed on June 30, U.S. local time, and Krafton confirmed the filing on July 1.

The dismissal marks a meaningful step for Krafton, as it removes legal uncertainty surrounding performance-based payments that had remained after its acquisition of Unknown Worlds.

However, as the case was dismissed pursuant to a settlement rather than a court ruling on the merits, the specific terms of the agreement and any financial impact were not disclosed.

The matter relates to the lawsuit that was previously disclosed on July 24 last year.

Krafton said it plans to focus on the development and official launch of Subnautica 2 together with Unknown Worlds.
