(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = SK Hynix recorded its highest quarterly performance ever in the second quarter of this year, driven by expanding demand for AI memory.

SK Hynix announced on the 29th that it recorded sales of KRW 79.3187 trillion, operating profit of KRW 60.5426 trillion, and net profit of KRW 93.9226 trillion in the second quarter of 2026 under K-IFRS.

The operating profit margin was recorded at 76%, and the net profit margin at 118%. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 257% and operating profit by 557%.

Cumulative sales for the first half of the year exceeded KRW 100 trillion for the first time in history.

The company explained that strong demand for high-performance memory for AI servers, driven by increased investment in AI infrastructure, and expanded sales of high-value products drove performance.

Both DRAM and NAND flash prices continued their upward trend from the previous quarter, and expanded sales centered on high-value products such as HBM, DRAM for AI servers, and eSSDs led to improved profitability.

Financial capacity has also been strengthened.

At the end of the second quarter, cash and cash equivalents recorded KRW 88 trillion, an increase of KRW 33.6 trillion from the end of the previous quarter. Borrowings were recorded at KRW 18.6 trillion, KRW down 700 billion, while net cash expanded to KRW 69.4 trillion.

SK Hynix is ​​investing to accelerate the mass production schedule for the M15X and rapidly expand production capacity after the opening of the Yongin Phase 1 fab cleanroom in early 2027.
