CamSys offers an 8-megapixel front-facing camera module with an auto focus (AF) function on the Galaxy S8 Plus model, which is equipped with a camera with a higher performance than its predecessor.
Samsung Electronics aims to reach 1 million units of pre-sale volume by 21 days before the official release date of the Galaxy S8 series.
A partner company ChamSys is also increasing the production of camera module according to customer's requirement.
In addition, ChamSys also manufactures a 16-megapixel front-end camera module for Samsung's entry-level A-series lineup, which is expected to improve profitability of the camera module business.
