[부산=NSP통신] 김연화 기자 = Global Game Exhibition G-STAR 2012 is going to be held from November 8th for 4 days.

The Government and Busan have made a lot of effort for the promotion of Game industry which helped to make G-STAR became the world class game exhibition.

NSP News Agency has a meeting with the CEO of Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency(BIPA), Mr. Seo Tae Geon.

[Q. What is the concept of G-STAR 2012]
[A. G-STAR is an international game show which has conducted for 8 years. 434 companies in 31 international countries will participate, exhibit new games and do business each other.

Not only online games originated from Korea but also video consol games and arcade games will be shown. In addition, G-STAR 2012 is held by B2C as well as B2B.

Furthermore, there are a variety of events families could participate in G-STAR can be called a comprehensive game culture festival. That is because there are many events such as E-Sports, family game camps and drawing G-STAR pictures.]

[Q. What is the main event of G-STAR]
[A. As G-STAR originally held by Korea game industry association is organized by public associations, we just focus on increasing game companies’ and customer’s satisfaction.

Thanks to extension of BEXCO, the main events for visitors will be held on B2C area and business consulting is going to be done on B2B area in totally different places. Therefore, business consulting is conducted quietly and smoothly on B2B extended 1.5 times and many common spaces were made for more small companies than those of last year.

In addition, investment market for increasing companies’ satisfaction and game talks that game companies’ leaders can discuss the future of game industries are interesting contents. That is because they are new.]

[Q. What will Busan aid for G-STAR]
[A. To conduct many events on G-STAR, Busan invested 1.3 billion wons and arranged a variety of game culture events while G-STAR is held.]

[Q. What is the effect for holding G-STAR in Busan]
[A. Busan and BIPA hopes to arrange G-STAR next year, so Busan compiled the budget for G-STAR.

As you know, this year’s G-STAR is the biggest event. Therefore, Busan tried to make companies and visitors think G-STAR is successful because of being held in Busan. Busan will keep trying to make lots of efforts to open G-STAR in Busan.]

[Q. What are the advantages of industrial and financial effects of G-STAR]
[A. Game firms in Busan improved their abilities and a number of game organizations became interested in Busan and moved here. Those happened thanks to G-STAR. 280,000 visitors coming to Busan spent a lot of money which brought on not only financial effects on economy but also industrial effects on movies and games.]

[Q. How famous is G-STAR]
[A. There are some international game exhibitions such as Gamescom in German, Tokyo game show in Japan and E3 in America. There is G-STAR in Korea. We could say G-STAR is one of the three international game shows.

Audiences who are watching this show should visit G-STAR and enjoy because it is becoming an international game exhibition externally and internally.]

[Q. To visitors coming to G-STAR]
[A. G-STAR is different from other exhibitions because there are many events for families. I would like to encourage parents to visit G-STAR with their children and educate the right way to use computer games.]

G-STAR 2012 has prepared many different events such as the exhibition of a variety of new games, family game camps and seminar.

We hope Busan, Korea could become the mecca of Global Game Industry through G-STAR.
