2009 국제대회 전경

[서울=DIP통신] 황기대 기자 = 여호와의 증인 지역대회가 2010년 5월 21부터 23일에 미국에서 시작돼 몇 달 동안 전 세계의 수많은 도시에서 열리게 된다. 한국에서는 지난 16일 잠실부터 시작해 전국 지역에서 열리고 있다.

특히 지역대회 기간 중 성서 영어 대회가 오는 7월 30일부터 8윌 1일에 용인 실내체육관에서 열린다. 영어 대회는 성서에 관심을 나타낸 많은 외국인들이 행사에 참석할 예정이다.

지난해에 열렸던 대회에서는 약 7000여명의 외국인들과 6만3000여명의 내국인들이 참석했다.

올해 대회에서는 청소년문제와 가정문제, 그리고 전 세계인들이 공통적으로 겪고 있는 여러 가지 주제와 관련된 내용들이 프로그램으로 제공될 예정이다.

“Remain Close to Jehovah!” Jehovah’s Witnesses District Convention to be held

This district convention, which will be held for three days, began on May 21st ~ 23rd, 2010 in the United States, and will continue for several months in countless cities around the world. In Korea, the convention will be held in several different locations starting with Chamsil on July 16th, and a special English language convention will be held in Yong-in Arena on July 30th ~ August 1st. Many foreigners across the country who are interested in the Bible will be attending this event.
About 7,000 foreigners and 63,000 Koreans attended last year’s convention. This year’s convention will feature programs that focus on a variety of issues that people around the world face, including those relating to youths and the family. Many couples, rather than try to solve the problems that they face, choose to end their marriage. It has been announced that the Jehovah’s Witnesses District Convention will provide an answer to such problems. The program will feature four facts about divorce, and a part on “how to prevent marriages from dissolving”. All those who are interested in these issues are invited to attend.
